Remote access to corporate network data from any location at any time is a necessity for mobile or home workers in many businesses. However, setting up these clients on individual PCs often becomes a huge administrative burden. Astaro VPN clients offer flexible remote access for any type of network environment and operating system with minimal administrative effort.

Astaro provides two VPN Client applications, offering mobile workers with easy-to-manage secure remote access to corporate networks:

Astaro Secure Client. Powerful and feature rich client for IPSec based remote access. Also includes a personal firewall for additional protection of the local client. Protects access from Windows 2000, Windows XP or Windows Vista based PCs.
Astaro SSL Client. Easy-to-use platform independent client for transparent SSL access to all company applications. Available free of charge. Installs on Windows, Linux, MacOS and UNIX operating systems.

Astaro Secure Client

Users can download and install their individual VPN package from the Astaro Web Gateway 'End-User Portal' by a single mouse click.

User Portal: Download client software, configuration files, keys and certificates with a single mouse click. Complete packages for IPSec, SSL, L2TP and PPTP access.
Client setup: Automated installation and configuration of client software within minutes.

* New Astaro Secure Client releases can provide Minir or major software updates:

Minir Software Updates provide small functionality improvements and bug fixing -> ASC version number is changing at the second digit behind the dot (e.g. from 8.21 to 8.22) -> these updates are free of charge
Major Software Updates provide major new features as well as functionality improvements and bug fixes. -> ASC version number is changing within first two digits (e.g. from 8.2 to 8.3 or from 8.3 to 9.0) -> these updates are available at an extra cost as listed above

Technical support for the Astaro Secure Client helps ensure the smooth deployment of the VPN client on client computers with a variety of hardware, software and network configurations. Astaro’s support representatives help customers resolve issues involving:

Installing the VPN client on client computers with different hardware and software configurations

Importing certificates

Setting encryption parameters

Loss of connectivity

Conflict with other VPN services
