Astaro‘s Mail Security features are available by subscription for Astaro Security Gateway and includes:

E-mail Filtering: Provides Antispam, Antivirus, Phishing and Malware Protection.
E-mail Encryption: Provides transparent, OpenPGP and S/ MIME encryption, and digital signatures for SMTP e-mails.

Automatic firmware and pattern updates are provided as part of Astaro‘s Up2Date Service with every maintenance contract. That way, the gateway is always kept up-to-date with the latest product improvements and virus patterns.

Astaro Gateways are available as a hardware, software or virtual appliance. Each version provides identical functionality, allowing free choice of your preferred deployment type:

"Users" includes workstations, clients, servers, and devices that communicate through the firewall to reach the Internet. It also includes VPN connections from remote VPN clients ("road warriors") and from remote VPN gateways (each remote gateway counts as one user)
